Established in 1985, Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury is a church-related, continuing care community committed to providing the highest quality living experience for discerning, active senior adults. Situated on 165 beautiful acres outside the village of Irvington in Virginia’s Northern Neck, RWC is home to those who want the independence and worry-free lifestyle afforded them in a tranquil, rural setting.
RWC strives to provide residents everything they require for daily living right in the neighborhood:
A wide range of apartments, cottages, and single-family homes provide choices for residents to select the home and lifestyle that best meets their personal needs and desires.
The Chesapeake Center, centrally located on the campus, houses several dining venues, post office boxes, an auditorium, a salon, a creative arts and crafts area, a residents’ library, meeting spaces, a game room, and a branch office of Chesapeake Bank (with safe deposit boxes).
RWC is building a new Wellness Center that will offer expanded health and wellness activities to encourage residents to become and remain as healthy as possible as they age.
The RWC community includes an on-site resident health clinic, assisted living suites, enhanced assisted living accommodations, skilled nursing care, an Adult Day Program and home health care and services.
Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, Inc. is a Virginia nonprofit corporation affiliated with the Episcopal and Presbyterian churches. All residents are welcome.
